THE TRUTH BEHIND FITNESS & COMPETITOR TREND FOLLOWERS
Why You Should STOP FOLLOWING Fitness Trends and Focus on YOUR Own Goals
With the fitness industry growing and changing so rapidly, it can be difficult to keep up with all the trends, new fads and different ideas about what will help you achieve your own goals. So many people get caught up in following other people’s advice, fads and routines that they neglect their own needs and personal circumstances. But in a world where it feels like there’s a new ‘fitness guru’ popping up every other day, how do you avoid getting lost in the noise and instead focus on what really matters? Read on for some useful insight...

EVERYONE IS KISSING SOMEONE'S ASS
Many people will amplify the importance of their products, advice or expertise because they want to make money off it. This is why you’ll see people like celebrities, fitness models and social media influencers making a lot of noise online with the advice they’re giving out. But look closer, and you’ll see that all they’re doing is selling a product, a dream or an ‘easy solution’ to a problem that isn’t necessarily a problem at all. This is why you’ll hear fitness models talking about how ‘anyone can get a six-pack if they do this one thing or ‘everyone can get shredded in 3 weeks if they do that. But that’s not the reality for most people. Everyone’s different and the advice should be tailored to the individual.
We live in a world today where we listen to politicians who are overweight, and chasing their own political agendas.
Medical doctors who are obese or overweight who consistently push drugs to compensate themselves by back-boning the incentives they're receiving through the medical group they work for, or the pharmaceutical company in which they get a kickback from in one way or another.
Your favorite social media influencer who's dancing around their kitchen in a sports bra, and underwear pitching their favorite product in which they are endorsing a promo code; making several false claims, and the only reason the company is utilizing them is because of their social influence on others, which is deceiving, and vastly taking advantage of the uneducated consumerism of the public.
Here's the best one, your favorite bodybuilder or jacked dude who's claiming his gains and 225lbs of lean muscle tissue has come from a bottle of creatine, a pre workout, and a tub of protein in which he is endorsed by, and sponsored by the company in which he is pushing. Again, another case of deceiving, and misleading information towards the uneducated consumers, and general public.
If you were to ask these individuals to break down the ingredients one-by-one, and explain to you how it metabolizes into the reaction of the pre-cursor in regards to what claims they are making, I can promise you 95% of them would give you the utmost general Googleable overview they could without any further breakdown.
If you are genuinely passionate about something, you know the ins-outs, the above, and below of what you are preaching. Everything else is just noise.
FITNESS CULT GROUPS
Over the course of several decades we have seen trends amongst social media influencers, a number with a percentage sign, the blue collar version of the oh so honest and outspoken previous social media influencer, and the very conservative super natural work hard, and eat your veggies type-groups.
They're either f$ck everyone, and their own opinion. Gains no matter what, stay super beast mode focused. Join the cult click of hard bada$$ MF-N workers. Or if you work really very hard, and keep consistent you will accomplish anything, and everything.
Then you have humourism thrown into the mix, in which this marketing tactic is now on the rise within the fitness, and supplement industry. This is honestly one of my favorites, because it's brief, no pitches attached besides funny-lines, and they let the consumer choose for themselves.
And the you have your fitness "teams" of competitors. This usually binds up into a group of individuals who are looking to belong to a name, a group of individuals, or to feel a part of something. Point-Blank truth... at the end of the day, there are no teams when you're standing next to each other on stage, they're not giving you the same placing or reward at the end of the day. Sure, you can argue the fact of, "it's about motivating each other". However, at the end of the day, if you need the feeling of involvement to feel motivated, or the constant approval of others to pursue your goals, or fitness goals... there are vastly larger things at stake that need worked on in your life. And your last priority should be getting on stage spray tanned, and half-naked. This is like spending all of your money of competing, when you can't even pay your rent. You're writing checks that you can't cash.
THE HISTORY OF FITNESS TRENDS
The history of fitness trends has been a long and winding road since the beginning of time – or perhaps even before that. While some trends have stayed relevant for decades, many others have come and gone in a very short amount of time. Some of these trends have come about because of new advancements in technology or science. If you happen to be interested in the history of fitness trends, you might be surprised to learn that you can trace the history of fitness right back to Ancient Greece! If you ever find yourself reading a history textbook, you might find that there is more to the history of fitness than you ever thought.
Fitness trends are a great way to stay active and healthy, but it’s important to be aware of the myths and scams that pervade the industry. For example, you may hear that taking certain vitamins is a surefire way to improve your fitness or help you lose weight. While some vitamins can have health benefits, others can cause harmful side effects. In addition, many people are unaware of how much exercise they need to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Before you buy any supplement, it’s important to do your research and learn as much as possible about the industry. With this knowledge, you can make informed decisions about what works best for your lifestyle.
BEING AN UNEDUCATED CONSUMER IN THE FITNESS INDUSTRY
If you are someone who is constantly following the advice of various different influencers, it can be easy to get caught up in the ‘next big thing’ or the latest fad. But when you are consistently consuming this information, you are likely to become an uneducated consumer in the fitness industry. If you don’t have your own goals and plans, but instead keep following what everyone else is doing, you’re unlikely to achieve anything. If you don’t have your own goals and plans, but instead keep following what everyone else is doing, you’re unlikely to achieve anything. If you only follow fitness advice that’s trending at the moment, it’s unlikely to be tailored to your own specific needs or lifestyle. This can make it harder to achieve your goals and can also cause you to burn out.
DON'T BE A SELLOUT, BE AUTHENTIC
While it’s important to respect and appreciate the work of others in the fitness industry, it’s also important not to become a sellout. If you are only promoting or following the advice of others because you want to make money off it, you’re likely going to burn out and lose all passion for your work. It’s important to be authentic in what you do and to follow your own advice and routines, even if they aren’t trending at the moment. Likely, the advice that isn’t trending at the moment is actually more tailored to your own specific needs. This doesn’t mean you can’t be inspired by the work of others and take bits and pieces from it to use in your own routine. But it’s important to stay grounded in your own needs and also to learn to recognize when someone is selling you an unrealistic product or promise.
CONCLUSION
In a world full of different advice and new fads, it can be difficult to know where to start and who to trust. Following your own goals and staying grounded in what’s important to you, it can help you break through the noise and focus on the things that actually matter.
